Newsletter for

Dear
Friends,
The Circular is in a drive to get funds, so that I am going
to send out an invitation to gather those that have mentioned gratitude to the
Newsletter for the work done in gathering old boys that were lost, or friends
of classmates.
Originally it was easy to produce because Venezuelas´s
economic situation was of the first world.
Then the downfall started with the new socialist
government in 2000, and we were downgraded to second world status.
Now we have reached the third world rating, you can
search this in the internet.
This has caused that funds are needed to keep the
Circular going.
Through the last few years lots of praise were written
but no funds were given.
I thank those that have helped me and I promised to
reach issue 1000.
From here on it is your choice,
What is your opinion? Are you among those that would
like to see the end of this method of communication.
Maybe I should change over to a social media? Or
reduce the frequency?
Your donation is necessary in any case, help!

Merry Christmas from New Zealand

Hiya Small Beam,
So nice to hear from you. It’s been a
long time.
I hope this note finds you and Monica in
good health and happiness, and that all the kids and grand-kids are bearing up
well under the COVID menace.
On my side, I’ve had a “Whipple procedure”
(look it up) done on December 9th 2019 - exactly one year ago yesterday. I lost
my stomach, my spleen, my gall bladder and half of my pancreas. Learning to eat
properly without a stomach is a bit of a pain in the . . . but I’m
managing, with the help of my wonderful Jackie. Because of COVID’s presence,
the doctors here elected not to do follow-up chemo, so I’ve been using
naturopathic meds for 12 months. What an experience!
Next MRI - on Dec 14th.
We’re trying our best to live and work
within the Ontario Govt’s restrictions, so I ain´t too sure exactly who’s gonna
be visiting us for Christmas, but we’re juggling our daughters and their
families to the best of our ability.
Here’s wishing you a very happy
Christmas for all the family.
Keep safe. Keep washing your hands and
use those masks, with proper distancing.
I’m sure the MSB Old Boys would love to
know you’re still around, so I’m forwarding this note to some of them - you
might expect a few to get in touch.
God bless you all.
Nigel

My dear brothers,
We are still stuck in limbo. Our bubble remains zero, so we remain here

safe for some time to come, reunions as we once knew it, are now treasured
memories we shared. However, we continue in this cyber space to keep in contact.
Thank you for emails from:

25/9/20 Ladislao Kertesz: Hi Robert, how are You?
Can You tell me more about Nigel? Did each house had a private coach?
In my time there were no coaches. It was autolearning by booklets. 1955
to 1960. Did You read the last circular 984? Ladislao
25/9/20 Oconnel Robert: Hi Ladislao. I'm fine thank you. Hope all is
well with you also.
Nigel Grosvenor came to the mount in 1981 when I was in fourth form.
It was his first coaching job after returning from college in the USA.
He was an extremely affable guy who was marvellous with the boys. Lost track of
him for some time after. He then became coach of St. Anthony's College or
"tigers" as they are called. He rose to national prominence as the
team began to win trophy after trophy. He will be sorely missed by all
whom he touched. I have only fund memories of him from his time on the mount.
25/9/20 18:39 - Ladislao Kertesz: Thanks for the essay, I needed
something for the photo.
I was confused when ST. Anthony was mentioned.
I used to belong to St. Anthony house red and white colours
Were You in that sports group? Who was the cricket coach?
26/9/20 Ladislao Kertesz: Thanks Robert,. Shall include Your story in
issue 986
Please feel free to collaborate with the circular, I need your help.
Can You take a selfie so that I may publish it in the newsletter?
26/9/20 Oconnel Robert: Gm. Sure thing will do
2/10/20 Ladislao Kertesz: Hi Robert, please cancel all appointments for
a parsec of time, to gather a moment of inspiration in memory of Peter and
write it down. Your lines will have priority in issue 986 of the
circular.
EDITOR
3/10/20 Ladislao Kertesz: Today I sent to Don, issue 985.
986 is to be sent next week.
Remember Peter and his work for our association.
Friends are never forgotten.
Ladislao
